Information You Provide

When you use Expensed, you may provide the following information:

• Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID email address (which may be a private relay email if you choose to hide your email).
• Profile Information: Your name and preferred base currency.
• Financial Data: Expenses, income, projects, trips, credit/debit cards (name, last 4 digits, expiry date, card type), and subscriptions you manually enter into the app.
• Receipt Images: Photos of receipts you choose to scan using our AI receipt scanner feature.

Information Collected Automatically

• App Usage Statistics: We track basic app open counts and last sync timestamps to improve the user experience.

How We Store Your Data

Local Storage

Your data is primarily stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. This means your financial information stays on your device and is accessible even without an internet connection.

Cloud Sync (Optional)

If you choose to sign in with Apple, your data is synced to our secure cloud servers powered by Supabase. This enables:

• Data backup and recovery
• Syncing across multiple devices

Cloud data is associated with your unique user ID and is encrypted in transit.
